IF SOMEONE GAVE YOU

$364,080

TO FINISH HIGH SCHOOL,

WOULD YOU?

Duh!  According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics & University of Illinois Bureau of Economic & Business Research (September 2001), the average dropout will have an estimated lifetime earning of $630, 000 and the average high school graduate will earn an estimated $994, 080.  A high school graduate will earn $364, 080 more than a dropout.  A four year college degree will earn over a lifetime $1,037, 700 more than a drop out!

THIS IS NOT A DIFFICULT CONCEPT!

STAY IN SCHOOL – LEARN AND EARN.

EARNING BY EDUCATIONAL LEVEL

Not all jobs require college.  In fact, only about 25% of Americans graduate from a four year (bachelor’s degree) program.  Another 15% complete a college or vocational program.  About 35% go to work immediately after high school.  Roughly 25% of people are out of the paid workplace due to unemployment, retirement, or choosing to work as a homemaker.  Still, there is a link between how much you get and how much you are likely to earn.
